MEMBERSHIP

  • Any individual can become a member of ARCHWA by completing a membership form, paying membership fees associated with the appropriate membership category, and submitting the membership form to the Membership & Communication Committee. 
  • Membership categories and dues include: 
    • Volunteer CHW/Student - $10.00 
    • Part-time CHW (less than 30 hours per week) - $15.00
    • Full-time CHW (more than 30 hours per week) - $25.00
    • CHW Supervisor/Coordinator - $35.00
    • Advocates (for non-CHWs) - $50.00
    • Supporter Organization (includes general membership for 3 staff members and promotional benefits) - $100.00
    • Associate Organization (includes general membership for 5 staff members and promotional benefits) - $250.00
    • Champion Organization (includes general membership for 10 staff members and promotional benefits) - $500.00

Board of Directors

  • The ARCHWA Board of Directors consists of 13 members, including the Chairperson, with at least 60% of positions being filled by community health workers who are currently working in Arkansas. All board members must have been active members in the organization for at least 1 year. Positions on the board include:

    • Policy & Advocacy Committee Chair - Scott Smith

  • Board member terms vary, with 4 members serving 3 year terms, 4 members serving 2 year terms, and 4 members serving a 1 year term. No member shall serve a combination of terms that add up to more than 8 consecutive years of service.
