What Is A CHW?

A Community Health Worker (CHW) is an integral part of every community. This is what it means.

What Is ARCHWA?

The Arkansas Community Health Worker Association (ARCHWA) is a professional association designed to support community health workers across Arkansas in their mission to improve health outcomes and health care. 

ARCHWA works with it's members to achieve a variety of objectives including: 

  • Providing training, continuing education, and career advancement opportunities for Arkansas CHWs

  • Advocating for steady and reliable funding for CHW programs across the state

  • Increasing public and professional awareness and recognition of CHW knowledge, skills, and contributions to the health care system 

  • Convening CHWs from across the state in order to share resources and offer support
