CHW Certification Committee Background and Responsibilities

In June 2021, ARCHWA created the CHW Certification Commission. The commission is responsible for the following:

  • Review and approval of certification applications for individual CHWs

  • Review and approval of CHW core competency training programs

  • Maintain official registry for all certified CHWs in the state of Arkansas

  • Review and approval of recertification applications of CHWs

The commission can also address any complaints if they arise.
