    Anna Huff Davis, BS, CHW

    Arkansas CHW Certification Commission, Chair

    Anna Huff Davis, one of the first twelve Certified CHWs in AR, has traveled across the US and abroad training, supervising, and serving in leadership roles to advance the Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce. She is the chairperson of the Arkansas Community Health Worker Association (ARCHWA), the Center on Childhood Obesity Prevention Community Advisory Board (CAB), the Translational Research Institute CAB, a member of the TRI Community Engagement team, a community researcher, a CHW State Certification Commissioner and a member of the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW). She firmly shares the vision of ARCHWA which states community health workers will be seen as members of a vital profession and ARCHWA will be recognized as a leader for improving the public health, well-being, and quality of life for all Arkansans.

    Judy I. Pile, EdD

    Executive Director

    In October 2022, Dr. Judy Pile was selected as the inaugural Executive Director for the Arkansas Community Health Worker Association (ARCHWA). Judy previously served as the Chancellor at Baptist Health College Little Rock. Judy holds a BS and MS in chemistry and a doctorate in higher education leadership. Judy brings diverse experience including teaching and administration in early child through higher education, not-for-profit, organizational development, corporate leadership and 15 years of experience in healthcare.

    Kate Stewart, MD, MPH

    ARCHWA Public Health Advisor

    Dr. Stewart is a retired professor in the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has studied the effectiveness of community health worker interventions for more than 30 years, translating what she learned in rural Bangladesh to address health disparities in her home state of Arkansas. She has played a founding role in supporting CHWs through the development of Arkansas’ state association and voluntary certification program for CHWs.

  • Tara Maltby

    Tara Maltby, BS, CHW

    ARCHWA Board of Directors, Chair

    Tara Maltby, BS, is a Certified Community Health Worker, pharmacy technician, and co-owner of Market Place Pharmacy in Little Rock. Her background includes 10 years in social work, with experience in advocacy, care coordination, family support, and connecting individuals with healthcare and community resources. Tara has worked as a CHW for four years, has advanced training in diabetes prevention and management, and brings firsthand experience integrating CHW services into community pharmacy. As part of the ARCHWA leadership team, she is committed to supporting and advancing CHWs across all settings throughout Arkansas.
