This month's topic is Oral Health. Our CoLab Trainer and Case Presenter will be Mary Kenyon Jones, M.ED. Mary Kenyon Jones, M.Ed. is the Strategic Operations and Communications Advisor for the Division of Oral Health at SC DHEC and for the SC Oral Health Action Network. Our objective for this month is to educate CHWs about oral health. We will examine oral health across the lifespan and focus on how CHWs can support prevention methods.
At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Explain oral health across the lifespan with a specific focus on how CHWs can support preventive oral health for the patients they serve.
About CoLab
The goal is for Community Health Workers and CHW Allies from all across the Southeast to support and learn together. Every month, a CHW will present a case study and an expert will offer training in a topic of great interest.
By attending and completing an evaluation, participants will receive 1 hour of CHW CEU every month.
